For the third anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the City History Museum, in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory, organized an exhibition titled "Erased from the Face of the Earth." This exposition, consisting of twenty banners, vividly showcases the destruction that has occurred in various regions of Ukraine, including Luhansk, Donbas, Slobozhanshchyna, and the southern part of the country. This information is reported by "Vydomo" referencing Kamianske.city.
The displayed banners feature images of destroyed settlements that the occupiers have turned into wastelands and ruins. Among them are cities and villages like Bakhmut, Maryinka, Vuhledar, Soledar, and many others that have become symbols of tragedy and suffering for the Ukrainian people in recent years. Museum director Natalia Bulanova emphasized that "this photo exhibition represents the cities, districts, and villages that have been destroyed by the enemy during the war. Unfortunately, the number of such settlements continues to grow today."
The exhibition organizers aimed to remind both Ukrainian society and the international audience about the crimes committed on Ukrainian soil and that behind every destroyed house lies a human fate. All banners participating in this exposition feature QR codes that lead to short videos showcasing the devastated villages and cities of Ukraine. These videos enhance the visual narrative of the exhibition, allowing visitors to grasp the full horror and darkness that the war has brought.
Svetlana, one of the exhibition visitors, shares her impressions: "I believe that society and the world should be reminded of the crimes committed on Ukrainian soil. Such thematic exhibitions are essential. It is very painful to see and realize that someone's life was there. Many have lost everything in an instant."
