On the evening of Wednesday, December 11, a conflict occurred in the city of Samaya in the Dnipropetrovsk region between police officers and a war veteran with a disability. This incident arose when police representatives demanded to see documents. One of the officers insulted the veteran by making a remark about "disability in the head." Following an obscene response to such a "joke," the police forcibly detained the man. This was reported by "Vydomo," referencing the Telegram channel "Dnepr Operatively War".

The soldier, who served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade under the call sign "Yamaha," had been deployed to the hottest spots on the front lines and, after suffering a severe injury, now has a metal plate in his arm. The officer decided this was a reason for mockery, saying "disability in the head." What happened next can be seen in the video.

After the incident, the veteran reached out to Telegram channels, urging them to publicize the situation.

"Today I was arrested for demanding to see the documents of police officers, as they themselves claimed, they detained me for petty hooliganism (i.e., regarding violations and mockery from the police), there were no violations related to my vehicle, as confirmed by the absence of any ruling and actual evidence, which cannot be said about their vehicle. At first, the officer mocked me, claiming he didn’t understand what documents were being referred to and that he had many of them. In response to my repeated remarks that I am disabled, he said I had a disability in the head (further in the video) without even knowing that I had experienced severe physical and mental trauma in the war and have been undergoing treatment for over a year and a half. I want to achieve justice and show the people what I faced upon returning from the war! I ask for this to be publicized because I am determined to go to the end and remain true to my oath to protect the people of Ukraine!" – he wrote.

The police issued an official comment, stating that an internal investigation into the actions of the law enforcement officers is underway to determine the legality of the police's actions in this incident.

"A video has circulated on social media showing police officers detaining a man on the street.

In connection with this fact, the management of the police department has initiated an internal investigation to establish the legality of the police's actions at the scene. All circumstances are being clarified. Information will be updated," – the police stated.
