In Dnipro, officials and doctors from the military medical commission of one of the RTCs and other medical institutions in the city have been exposed for falsifying blood test results for HIV, reports "Vідомо," citing the National Police of Ukraine.
False information was subsequently entered into medical documents and the "Monitoring of Socially Significant Diseases" information system. Such manipulations allowed "sick" men to be removed from military registration and to cross the state border of Ukraine without obstruction.
For the opportunity to evade state protection in this manner, the men paid the involved parties $10,000.
Law enforcement, with the support of the TOR special unit of the Patrol Police Department, conducted 19 searches at the places of registration and residence of the suspects. Among the items seized were computer equipment, medical documentation, and other items confirming the owners' involvement in illegal activities.
The suspects face imprisonment for up to 10 years, along with a prohibition on holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years, and confiscation of property.
