A new park has opened in Dnipro's Victory area, dedicated to a coach who lost his life during a missile strike.

During a recent session of the Dnipro City Council, deputies made the decision to name a park located on the Victory Embankment near house No. 10 in honor of the well-known boxing coach in the city, Mikhail Korenevsky, as reported by "Vідомо".

This area is part of the Dnipropetrovsk State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports. Mikhail Korenevsky lost his life during a missile strike on a high-rise building on January 14, 2023. On that day, he had just returned from a competition, and his wife and two daughters were spared because they had gone out for a walk.

Only the kitchen remains of the coach's apartment.
