In a Dnipro hospital, a soldier is being saved after narrowly escaping death from an FPV drone attack.

The wounded soldier was on the brink of death.

In Dnipro, efforts are underway to save a 50-year-old soldier named Nikolai, who sustained severe injuries and lost a significant amount of blood due to an FPV drone attack on February 16. His story was shared by the head of the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital, Sergey Ryzhenko, on his Facebook page, as reported by "Vydomo".

"Nikolai is 50. On February 16, an FPV drone nearly took his life. He suffered extensive injuries with massive defects to his lower limbs and significant blood loss.

He made his way to the nearest stabilization point in a damaged vehicle, losing consciousness and bleeding, while under enemy fire, for 20 kilometers.

He was delivered in a coma to Mechnikov Hospital," – writes Ryzhenko.

A physician-anesthesiologist, Sergey Dvoretsky, is constantly by the wounded defender's side, gradually restoring the man's vital functions.

"Initially, there was joy in his ability to breathe independently, then – following a successful surgery, now – together with Nikolai's wife, they are planning an evacuation to Kyiv.

On the day he was injured, Nikolai became a grandfather. His granddaughter Zlata was born (a child of war – her father is on the front lines)," – Ryzhenko added.

"Politicians need to witness the resuscitations at Mechnikov and the horrifying consequences of war. Perspectives change in an instant. These images remain in memory for a lifetime.

We all want to live – both the young and the old – without war," – he concluded.
