The Swiss publication Braun Publishing has included the Boulevard of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army (formerly known as South Street) in its international collection of contemporary landscape architecture. Architect Natalia Kashirina announced this on Facebook, as reported by "Vydamo".
"At the beginning of 2024, the editorial team contacted us requesting materials for the book. This collection features an overview of landscape architecture projects from around the world," Natalia noted.
The Boulevard of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army is located in the city center and borders the Cologne Boulevard. At the intersection of the two boulevards stands a unique 7-meter bronze statue of Atlas. Another highlight of the pedestrian area is the creek that runs the length of the boulevard. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it is the longest artificial creek in Ukraine.

Prior to its reconstruction, South Street was congested with vehicles, causing inconvenience for pedestrians.
In 2020, its transformation into a part of the city's pedestrian zone began.
The fact that a project from Dnipro made it to the list of the best global initiatives is a significant achievement for the city. This reflects a high level of urban solutions and attention to the modern development of urban space.
