В Днепропетровской области отмечено сокращение случаев заболевания ОРВИ и COVID-19.

Over the past week, the epidemiological situation in the Dnipropetrovsk region regarding respiratory viral infections (ARVI), including COVID-19, has been relatively stable, albeit unfavorable. This is reported by "Vidomo," citing the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.

According to official data, more than 7,000 residents of the region have contracted ARVI and COVID-19. The exact number of infected individuals over the past week was 7,316, which is a decrease of 0.6% compared to the previous week. This indicates a slight trend towards a reduction in the incidence of illness; however, it is too early to relax.

A significant portion of those infected are children. Of the total number of cases, 3,421 individuals (46.8%) are children under the age of 17. This figure highlights the necessity for close attention to the protection of the child population from respiratory infections.

It is important to note that the incidence rate in the region (236.5 per 100,000 population) is 60% below the epidemic threshold. This is an encouraging sign, indicating that the current situation, while requiring monitoring, has not reached a critical level. However, the low rate should not lead to a relaxation of preventive measures. It is essential to remember that viruses continue to circulate, and the risk of further spread of infections remains.
