In Dnipro, they are rescuing a soldier named Nikolai, who waited 20 days for evacuation from the combat zone after sustaining a severe injury, sitting in a damp trench with his comrades. This was reported by Sergey Ryzhyenko, the head of the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital, on his Facebook page, as conveyed by "Vidomosti".
Nikolai is a resident of the city of Fastiv. He is 52 years old and serves as a grenade launcher.
"Nikolai is a true Ukrainian, who loves life, fishing, and above all, his wife Olga."
He was injured in the Donetsk direction on February 8, 2025.
"He has multiple fractures, severed fingers on his left hand, a broken right humerus, burns on his head and face, and numerous shrapnel wounds to his torso," – writes Ryzhyenko.
The man has already undergone six surgeries.
He states that even with his injured hands, he will push the enemy back to prevent them from reaching Ukrainian families.
