He discussed this on his blog.

“Trump made a statement suggesting that Putin doesn’t actually want to destroy Ukraine; otherwise, he could have obliterated Kyiv or devastated Ukraine's energy infrastructure. He still has plenty of missiles and Shaheds, and Russia is powerful. It seems that, excuse me, Donald Trump is not watching Fox News but rather other channels that broadcast entirely different narratives, which spread Russian propaganda. Because these are absolutely Kremlin narratives,” notes Alexander Musienko.

In other words, he states, according to Trump, it appears that Putin is almost a peacemaker because he could destroy Kyiv but chooses not to. However, his statements do not reflect reality at all. As the expert reminds Politeka, Putin is destroying everything in Ukraine that his KABs, drones, and missiles can reach, and he doesn’t even spare his own Kursk region. If Trump is unaware of this, he should talk less with the Russians.

“He is ready to meet with Putin, and this meeting could happen as soon as possible, by the end of February. Well, that raises the question: when will we hear from Ukraine? Currently, the Russian side is essentially pouring its propaganda into our ears and calling for the lifting of sanctions against Russia to resume at least some interaction and cooperation, as the economic situation worsens, and the battlefield progress for the enemy is not looking good. It creates the impression that the United States, as has happened several times in history, is trying to save Russia from a complete collapse,” explains Alexander Musienko.

Interestingly, the expert adds, Trump claims that the war in Ukraine could have been resolved without territorial losses even during preliminary negotiations a few years ago. However, he reminds Politeka that a few years ago, Trump was also president, yet he failed to make Russia comply with the Minsk agreements or to force Putin to withdraw troops from Ukraine.

As reported by Politeka, Razumkov stated that the consequences of negotiations in Saudi Arabia could lead to disaster.

Additionally, Politeka wrote about Musienko's comments on Putin's neo-imperial ambitions: "Russia could even go for Istanbul".
