As Imran Khalid points out, if the new U.S. president attempts to avoid repeating the mistakes of the previous administration (particularly, issues related to the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan), this could lead to even greater complications for Ukraine. While Afghanistan became a political disaster for Biden, Ukraine may present an even bigger test for Trump. This will impact both his political career and the global standing of the U.S.
The situation is also complicated for Vladimir Putin, writes the expert:
