After his presidential term, Joe Biden does not plan to retire.
According to The Times, the 82-year-old politician will remain actively involved in significant political and social initiatives. While many anticipated that Biden might step aside for younger politicians, he himself rules out such a possibility and is determined to continue his work for the benefit of the country.
In an interview, Biden confirmed that he does not intend to fade away after leaving the White House. He stated that his activities will not be limited to just academic initiatives but will encompass important social and political projects.
"He will continue to work on domestic policy at the University of Delaware's Biden Institute and on foreign policy at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington. Both organizations were established after he left the vice presidency in 2017. He also wants to be active in the Beau Biden Foundation, which advocates for vulnerable children in memory of his late son, and in his Cancer Moonshot initiative to 'end cancer as we know it,'” the publication's journalist writes.
At the same time, Biden plans to write a book and start fundraising for the establishment of a presidential library in his home state of Delaware.
"I am less concerned about what my legacy will be. Although I am leaving, I am not going anywhere because there are so many other things I want to do," Biden concluded.
