Residents of Dnipro will face a fourfold increase in gas transportation costs.

Starting January 1, 2025, residents of Dnipro, as well as the entire Ukraine, will face a significant increase in the cost of natural gas transportation services. This has been reported by "Vidomo".

The National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities (NKREKU) has made a decision to raise tariffs for gas transportation for domestic consumers by a staggering 305%.

The price of the service will quadruple. For residents of the Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly in the metropolis of Dnipro, with its million-strong population, this change will pose a considerable challenge, as it threatens to heavily impact family budgets.

Until now, the tariff for transporting 1,000 cubic meters of gas was 124.16 hryvnias. With the start of the new year, this figure will soar to 501.97 hryvnias.

The official reason for the tariff increase is attributed to the halt of Russian gas transit through Ukrainian territory.
