President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to provide a report on the programs that have lost American support from USAID. This concerns humanitarian programs.

As reported by RBK-Ukraine, he stated this during his evening address.

According to the president, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba and other officials are identifying which specific programs are currently lacking support. He noted that nearly all of these programs were implemented not through the Ukrainian government but directly through communities and various organizations.

"There are many projects. We will determine which ones are critical and require immediate solutions. Part of this funding can be provided through our state finances, while the rest will be discussed with Europeans and Americans. This pertains to many areas—from communications and digitalization to support for veterans, schools, hospitals, and reconstruction," said Zelensky.

The president clarified that the details of these programs were not a state matter, but officials will present everything to him. In particular, those that concern children, veterans, and infrastructure protection programs.

The U.S. Suspended USAID Funding

It is worth reminding that the United States is the largest donor of financial aid in the world. However, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an order that effectively froze aid programs to other countries for 90 days. The programs will be reviewed to determine if they align with the political goals of the Trump administration.

However, as early as January 24, the U.S. State Department issued an order to "cease operations" for all existing foreign aid and suspended the issuance of new aid.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) branch in Ukraine also suspended project implementation and funding.
