President Volodymyr Zelensky will lead the Ukrainian delegation at the Munich Security Conference, which will take place from February 14 to 16.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak in a comment to Associated Press.

The conference will also be attended by the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Kurt Volker, and U.S. Vice President Jay D. Vance.

Yermak, who will also participate in the conference, stated that the Ukrainian delegation will present the country's stance on ending the war and its views on how to achieve lasting and sustainable peace.

According to the head of the President's Office, Ukraine hopes to discuss what security guarantees can be implemented to prevent further aggression from Russia during the meeting in Munich.

Yermak noted that while the date for a meeting between Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet been determined, he believes it should happen as soon as possible. He added that they are working on it.

The head of the President's Office confirmed that Volker will visit Ukraine at the end of February after the Munich Security Conference.

"I believe it is important for us to go through a stage of consultations and negotiations before the Trump administration develops any plans. Because our position is that it is impossible – and it would be a big mistake – to have any plans without Ukraine's involvement in preparing that plan," Yermak stated.

Regarding Trump's interest in Ukrainian rare earth metals, Yermak noted that there are currently no discussions on this topic. However, he added that Ukraine is considering a partnership with the U.S. even after the war ends, and this is one of the points in their strategy.

Munich Security Conference

The Munich Security Conference is an annual forum that serves as a platform for global discussions on international security. This year, the conference will take place from February 14 to 16. It is expected that leaders from around 60 countries, 150 ministers from around the world, as well as heads of international organizations will participate.

No information has been provided about the personal participation of U.S. President Donald Trump, but Vice President Jay D. Vance will take part in the conference.

Also visiting Munich will be the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Kurt Volker. He noted that he would discuss the war in Ukraine during the conference, but will not present any so-called "peace plan."

Volker is also planning to visit Ukraine, likely on February 20.
