Зеленский обсудил важные вопросы с Будановым в ходе продолжительной беседы. Что нового стало известно?

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, had a "long conversation" with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov. Specifically, various "scenarios" were discussed.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing his Telegram.

"Today I had a long conversation with Budanov regarding our tasks and prospects, various scenarios. It is important to act actively," he stated.

Additionally, Zelensky listened to a report from Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"The Commander-in-Chief presented a report on the front and the Kursk operation. It is crucial that every day brings us new results, and that these results include enemy losses, losses for Russia," the president noted.

Russia's War Against Ukraine

It is worth noting that Zelensky's conversation with Budanov took place after the Main Intelligence Directorate announced that Russia plans to mobilize over 126,000 soldiers from "special contingents" in 2025. This refers to individuals with debts, those incarcerated, and others with problems.

At the same time, the head of the Ground Forces Reserve Council, Ivan Timochko, commented to the YouTube channel RBK-Ukraine that Russian prisoners of war are not particularly considered regular forces capable of conducting combined arms operations. They serve as frontline soldiers, tasked with calling in fire, moving ammunition, and providing cover for trained Russian troops.

Recall that the Central Intelligence Agency believes that Russia does not plan to end the war against Ukraine and is preparing to fight throughout 2025.
