Zelensky has appointed new ambassadors of Ukraine to Moldova and Uruguay.

On Friday, February 7th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed new ambassadors to Moldova and the Republic of Uruguay. Additionally, changes were made to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

On Friday, February 7, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed new ambassadors to Moldova and the Republic of Uruguay. Changes were also made to the composition of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC).

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the official website of the President of Ukraine.

In particular, according to Zelensky's decree, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Moldova is now - Rogovei Paun Aurelovich.

The corresponding position in the Republic of Uruguay has been assigned to Klimenko Yuriy Arkadievich. At the same time, he will continue to serve as the ambassador of Ukraine to Argentina.

Additionally, the Ukrainian president's website published a decree introducing the Minister of Health of Ukraine, Viktor Lyashko, into the NSDC.

"On the partial amendment of Article 1 of the decree of the President of Ukraine dated March 29, 2024 No. 193/2024... to include in the personal composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Lyashko Viktor Kyrylovych - Minister of Health of Ukraine. This decree comes into effect from the day of its publication," the document states.

Who Could Have Become the Ambassador to Moldova

It is worth noting that at the end of March 2024, Zelensky announced that the ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova would be the then-former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov. According to the president, he approved this candidacy. However, based on today's decree, this did not happen.

Other Appointments

Recall that a few days ago, the President of Ukraine also made changes to the NSDC through a decree. In particular, the head of the Ukrainian State Financial Monitoring Service, Philipp Pronin, was included.
