Zelensky announced new sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced new sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. These measures will target those who act against the country.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing a statement from the Ukrainian president.

"Today, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies worked very effectively: the SBU, the State Bureau of Investigations, the National Police, and our Prosecutor's Office. There is a counteraction against traitors and various schemes that have weakened our state and our Ukrainian society. And everyone who chooses the path against Ukraine, against the law in Ukraine, must remember that there will be consequences," Zelensky emphasized.

He explained that new decisions regarding sanctions are already in preparation.

"We are also preparing a new decision on sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council - a decree will be issued tomorrow," the president stated.

Ukraine's Sanctions Against the Russian Federation

Recall that at the beginning of October last year, President Volodymyr Zelensky enacted two packages of sanctions from the National Security and Defense Council against traitors of Ukraine and military production in Russia.

In September, the head of state imposed sanctions against six individuals and more than 40 legal entities from Russia, Iran, and China.
