Trapped between cars: a man was injured in Dnipropetrovsk region due to a drunk driver.

Kryvyi Rih police apprehended a 32-year-old driver for causing a traffic accident while under the influence of alcohol, resulting in injuries to a man. This was reported by "Vydomo" referencing the Main Directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region.

The incident occurred on January 16 at around 8:00 PM on one of the streets in the Pokrovsk district. While driving on the roadway, the driver of a "Mazda" collided with a parked "BMW" on the roadside, which then struck a stationary "Volkswagen" ahead. At that time, a 27-year-old man was situated between the vehicles. As a result of the accident, the victim sustained injuries and was hospitalized with a leg fracture.

The intoxicated driver was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

On January 17, investigators informed the suspect of charges under Part 1 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by individuals managing transport) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On January 18, the suspect was placed under round-the-clock house arrest as a preventive measure.
