The Ministry of Finance has updated the data on wages and the number of employees in government bodies, local state administrations, and judicial authorities. In November 2024, the average salary in central government agencies amounted to 62,000 hryvnias.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing data from the Ministry of Finance.
Compared to January, the average calculated salary for 21,700 officials increased by 61%. At the beginning of the year, it was 38,600 hryvnias.
Thus, the salaries of officials are 3.4 times higher than the average level across Ukraine. According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, in September the salary was 18,000 hryvnias.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the Antimonopoly Committee leads in salary levels. On average, its employees earn 118,700 hryvnias. The committee employs 268 people. The management's salary is among the highest at 215,000 hryvnias.
In the Ministry of Justice, which recently experienced a breach of state registries, the take-home pay is 100,500 hryvnias (997 people).
In the Central Election Commission, which effectively has no work during the war due to the absence of elections, the salary is 97,200 hryvnias (248 people). The management has the highest salary: 18 individuals earn an average of 310,300 hryvnias per month.
In the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the average salary is 65,500 hryvnias. The actual number of employees receiving a salary is 672. The management is paid 132,900 hryvnias.
As of January 1, 2024, there were 169,000 people employed in 108 government authorities. In 2023, the actual number of employees decreased by 6,800 people.
In December 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a reform of civil servant salaries, which is expected to save 8 billion hryvnias annually.
