Russian media have circulated information claiming that a Ukrainian pilot has allegedly surrendered in the Kursk region. However, this assertion is a fake.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Facebook of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Unfortunately, instances of military personnel who previously served in the Air Forces being captured do occur. However, the information regarding the capture of a Ukrainian pilot is fake," the statement said.
They added that all Ukrainian pilots continue to carry out tasks to defend the country.
Additionally, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reminded that enemy reports and videos of interrogations of Ukrainian soldiers who have been captured are part of the information war waged by the aggressor country. The enemy disseminates such materials for several purposes.
"The distribution of such materials is used to demoralize Ukrainian military personnel and the civilian population in order to influence public opinion both within Ukraine and abroad," the Armed Forces concluded.
Recall that about two weeks ago, Russians massively launched a fake about "poisoned water" for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied this information.
