In Zaporizhzhia this evening, December 26, an explosion occurred. Prior to that, the movement of an enemy missile towards the city was recorded.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov.
The official announced the explosion in Zaporizhzhia around eleven o'clock in the evening.
It is worth noting that just a few minutes before, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued a warning about the threat of ballistic weapon use by Russian occupiers from the southern direction.
Following this, the military informed about the detection of a missile moving towards Zaporizhzhia.
After the explosion in the regional center, the head of the OVA stated that the enemy missile attack is ongoing.
"Do not neglect safety rules!" - the statement from the administration head reads.
Later, OVA head Fedorov reported that Russian occupiers struck the city of Zaporizhzhia, emphasizing that "the enemy is cunningly targeting the industrial infrastructure of the region."
"Currently, there is no information about casualties. The extent of the destruction is being assessed," - the official added.
It should be noted that the city of Zaporizhzhia, like other settlements in Ukraine near the front line, frequently suffers from Russian strikes. The occupiers use guided bombs, various types of missiles, and drones for shelling.
For instance, on December 20, Russian invaders attacked Zaporizhzhia with drones. As a result of the shelling, four people were injured. A fire broke out in the city following the enemy attack.
On December 10, Russian terrorists carried out a missile strike in the center of Zaporizhzhia - the enemy hit a private hospital, resulting in the destruction of the medical facility and damage to nearby buildings.
An emergency rescue operation continued in the city. According to the latest reports, the missile attack resulted in 7 fatalities, with 22 people injured.
Prior to this, on the evening of December 6, Russian occupiers launched an airstrike on Zaporizhzhia, causing a fire at a service station, with casualties and injuries reported. Ten people lost their lives due to the shelling. Additionally, at that time, the OVA showed photos and videos of the aftermath of the Russian airstrike on Zaporizhzhia.
