Aviation Disaster in South Korea

On Sunday, December 29, a Boeing 737-800 passenger plane of Jeju Air, operating flight 7C2216, crashed at the airport in the South Korean city of Muan. The aircraft was flying from Bangkok, with most passengers being South Korean citizens.

The plane was unable to deploy its landing gear, causing it to roll off the runway, collide with the outer wall of the airport, and catch fire. The preliminary cause of the aircraft's failure is attributed to a landing gear mechanism malfunction due to a bird strike.
