At just 31, a remarkable female footballer from Dnipropetrovsk has passed away (PHOTO).

Taissia Babenko, a product of Nikopol football, has passed away at the age of 31, reports "Vydomo" citing the History of Nikopol Football group on Facebook.

It is noted that the athlete fought against cancer for a year.

Throughout her career, she was recognized for her performances with the futsal teams "Nika" and "YUZMS," as well as the football teams "Lider" and Women's Football Club "Vorskla," in addition to representing Ukraine in futsal and beach soccer.

For the Ukrainian futsal team, Taissia became the vice-champion of Europe in 2023 and a bronze medalist at EURO-2022.
