Today, January 13, an anticyclone named Beate will arrive in Ukraine, bringing dry but cool weather. Caution is advised due to the risk of ice on the roads.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing the forecast from meteorologist Natalka Didenko.
"Monday in Ukraine will be cool and mostly dry - a slight frost will dry out the surface. However, this minor frost will also lead to icy conditions on the roads," she explained.
A light snow is expected in the western and eastern regions of Ukraine in the morning. However, according to the meteorologist, the anticyclone Beate will push away any precipitation.

In Kyiv on Monday, January 13, there will be no precipitation. Icy conditions are expected on the roads, with daytime temperatures around 0 degrees.
"In the coming days, the weather will not undergo significant changes, and a slight warming is even expected starting January 16," Didenko noted.
As of the morning of January 6, a winter thunderstorm was reported across much of the southern Midwest, as well as in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
This phenomenon typically occurs under specific atmospheric instability conditions, where low air temperatures, high humidity, and vertical convection coincide.
Unlike summer thunderstorms, where thunder can be heard from miles away, snow dampens the sound, limiting its distance. This reduces people's awareness of the approaching dangerous phenomenon, increasing the risk of emergencies, thus making winter thunderstorms more hazardous.
Recall that recently in Kyiv a snow thunderstorm was observed. Meteorologists reassured the residents of Kyiv that there was nothing serious about it.
