A large-scale air alert was declared in Ukraine on the morning of December 31. In addition to the drone and missile attacks, a threat from ballistic weapons emerged.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military announced the threat of the enemy using ballistic weapons across the entire territory of Ukraine shortly before eight in the morning.
Following this, the Air Forces reported the detection of a Russian missile heading towards Vasylkiv. Subsequently, information was received about a high-speed target in the Sumy region moving southwest.
"Kyiv, Vasylkiv - take shelter! There are still high-speed targets in the Sumy region, heading southwest!" - the military advised.
It is worth noting that as early as the previous evening, Russian occupiers launched kamikaze drones at Ukraine. Both on the night of December 31 and in the morning, enemy strike drones were still being detected in the airspace.
Additionally, around three in the morning, a ballistic threat was announced for several regions, and explosions could be heard in Kyiv amid the missile threat, while air defense systems were operational in the capital.
In the morning, it became known about the downing of enemy drones in the Kyiv region. Around seven in the morning, the Air Forces reported a threat of airstrikes from the northeast direction, and later, the enemy was detected launching missiles towards several cities in different regions of Ukraine.
Furthermore, explosions were heard in Kyiv amid the missile attack, and air defense systems began operating in the region.
