On the night of February 8, Russian occupiers targeted the city of Sumy with drones. In particular, an enemy UAV struck a private house, causing a fire that has since been extinguished.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the Facebook page of the Sumy region police.
"Last night, a Russian drone hit a private home. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out. Police, rescuers, medics, and other emergency services are working at the scene. They are conducting debris removal and addressing the aftermath of the attack," the police statement said.
According to the State Emergency Service's report at 07:22, the fire in the residential building has already been extinguished. The emergency services clarified that significant damage was caused to the private residential house due to the drone attack. Additionally, there was a fire covering a large area.
"Emergency Service personnel localized the fire, partially removed debris, and extinguished all hidden hotspots," the State Emergency Service noted.
They also added that there was no information about any injuries.
Recall that on the night of February 6, Russian troops struck Kharkiv with drones. In particular, the enemy damaged the largest market in the city, Barabashovka, as well as a transport company. There was a fire in the market, and there are also casualties.
