The CCO revealed the outcome of the Russian attempt to storm Ukrainian positions in the Kursk region.

The Ukrainian defense forces inflicted losses on the enemy in both equipment and personnel during the enemy's attempts in the Kursk region to capture the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with tanks and armored vehicles. Ukrainian defenders showcased footage of repelling yet another attack by the Russian army.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel of the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It was noted that Ukrainian special forces, together with units of the Ukrainian defense forces, repelled the attempts of Russian troops to "storm one of the settlements in the Kursk region."

In this regard, the crews of the SOF's UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles) struck 2 Russian tanks and 3 armored vehicles.

Additionally, SOF operators eliminated four enemy soldiers who were attempting to storm the positions of Ukrainian defenders.

"We continue our work," the SOF added.

A video showing the destruction of enemy equipment during Russian assaults, which ended in failure for the enemy, was published online.

Recall that in the evening summary on January 7, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the beginning of the day, 159 combat clashes occurred, and the military command informed that the enemy was actively attacking in the Pokrovsk direction and in the Kursk region.

It should be noted that in a report released on January 8 by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), it was stated that The Ukrainian defense forces advanced in the Kursk region to the northwest of Sudzha. The report also indicated that there was movement of Russian troops in the same region.
