In Nikopol, police took in a runaway raccoon at the police station and located its owner – a military medic. This was reported by the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, as relayed by "Izvestno".
The animal's owner shared that the raccoon's name is Mina, and she hails from the occupied village of Krynkі in the Kherson region.
It turned out that during an evening walk, Mina ran away and climbed a tree right in the middle of the street.
In the morning, a patrol police response team noticed a crowd of people and spotted the "culprit" of the gathering in the tree.
"The fluffy one was coaxed out of her temporary hiding place amid the sounds of artillery fire. While the search for the owner was ongoing, the animal was taken to the police station. There, she began to explore her surroundings," the police reported.
The Nikopol police thanked all the caring individuals who tried to assist the animal and joined in the search for its owner.
