In Nikopol, a man stole weapons and ammunition from a military vehicle (PHOTO).

An incident occurred in Nikopol near one of the medical facilities - a man broke into a military vehicle and stole from it, reports "Vидомо," citing the police of Dnipropetrovsk region.

The thief turned out to be a 50-year-old man who stole a smoothbore shotgun and ammunition for it. Meanwhile, a 57-year-old serviceman, who was receiving treatment at a local hospital, reported the theft to the police.

Through investigative measures, law enforcement established that the crime was committed by a previously convicted resident of Pokrov, known for property offenses.

Investigators informed the suspect of charges regarding the criminal offense under part 4 of Article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation is ongoing.

The police are verifying information regarding the detainee's involvement in other property crimes within the city.
