Pavlograd has received a gift from local resident Alexey Sergeyevich Andryushenko - the city's historical and local history museum has been enriched with a unique collection of banknotes. This donation is not just a set of old bills, but a significant piece of history that reflects the events and economic realities of various eras. This was reported by "Vidomo," citing the museum's Facebook page.
The resident of Pavlograd collected banknotes for many years, gradually transforming them into a complete "historical collection." Such work requires not only financial investment but also extensive knowledge and attention to detail.
A special place in the donated collection is occupied by money from the period of the Ukrainian Revolution. These banknotes, issued amid political and economic instability, reflect the drama of that time. Their design is simple, yet it showcases the aspirations for self-assertion of the then very young state.
The collection also includes occupation banknotes issued during World War II. These bills, released by the occupiers, serve as a bitter reminder of the hardships of war and occupation. Additionally, the numismatist donated banknotes from the Russian Empire.
Thanks to this generous donation from a citizen, the Pavlograd Historical and Local History Museum has received a valuable addition to its collection - this banknote collection will become an essential part of the museum's exhibition, allowing visitors to gain a better understanding of historical events and the cultural heritage of different eras.
