The Dnipro city council announced the timeline for the completion of tramway repairs on Lesya Ukrainka Avenue.

Due to the ongoing repair of the tram tracks, traffic jams have been forming on the neighboring streets for several months now.

The leading specialist of KP "Dniprovskyi Electrotransport," Nikita Kerenets, reported that the repair of the tramway at the intersection of Lesya Ukrainka Avenue and Battalion "Dnipro-1" Street will last until the end of January 2025, as conveyed by "Vidomo," citing the Dnipro City Council.

"As of today, the installation of the new tramway has been completed, and we are nearly ready to connect to the main repaired section. The dismantling of the temporary track is scheduled for the coming days. Two new platforms for trams No. 5 and No. 12 are almost ready. A traffic light system has been prepared, which will become operational after the main works are completed," he stated.

According to him, the work is being carried out with long-term prospects in mind. Relevant services are already replacing all necessary networks to ensure the stable operation of the updated infrastructure for the next 10-15 years.
