In Kryvyi Rih, a crucial bridge in the city center has been renovated (PHOTOS).

A bridge in Kryvyi Rih has been renovated, linking the central part of the city with the northern outskirts, reports "Vydomo" citing the Kryvyi Rih City Council.

The construction work was carried out from 2021 to 2024 by specialists from the regional branch of "Dnipropetrovsk Railway" and the team from the structural unit "Dnipro Bridge Construction Plant".

During the major repairs, work was done to dismantle defective reinforced concrete beams, install 12 new reinforced concrete beams for the spans, reinforce the intermediate supports, install reinforced concrete girders for the intermediate supports, and construct the reinforced concrete structures for the riverbank supports, along with various reinforcement tasks.

Additionally, works have been completed on the concrete paving of the cones of the bank supports, expansion joints, sidewalks, soft-entry reinforced concrete slabs, metal railing for the sidewalks, as well as metal shields for the contact network fence and waterproofing of the roadway of the overpass.

The reinforced concrete road overpass, 60 meters long, was built in 1959 and crosses the railway tracks on the Pyatykhatky - Kryvyi Rih line.
