On Tuesday, February 11, residents of Kryvyi Rih took to the streets to protest the lack of heating in their homes, as reported by "Vydomo".
Approximately 600 houses in the city are experiencing temperatures that do not meet standards. Protesters blocked the road near KRES, holding signs that accused local authorities of failing to provide heating this season and of destroying the city's critical infrastructure.
Andrei Sokolovsky, the deputy chairman of the Pokrovsky District Council, approached the demonstrators and suggested that they simply stop paying for the lack of heat. However, this did not deter the crowd.
Maxim Kustarev, the technical director of the heating plant, also addressed the protesters. He explained that the maximum temperature they can currently provide is +49°C, which is being maintained to prevent the heating system from freezing.
Recently, after the heating season was disrupted in Kryvyi Rih, a new director for the "Heating Plant" was appointed.
