Air defense systems are active in the Kyiv region due to an attack by "Shahed" drones.

In the Kyiv region, the operation of air defense forces and resources began on the night of December 27. The movement of enemy drones was recorded in the area.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Kyiv Regional Military Administration (KOVA).

Information about the downing of enemy drones by air defenders was provided by the administration at 2:10 AM.

"Kyiv region! Movement of enemy drones has been recorded! Air defense forces are operational in the area," the KOVA statement said.

Local residents are urged to remain in shelters until the air alert is over. They are also called upon to adhere to information silence rules.

"Do not photograph or film the actions of our defenders," the administration conveyed.

It is worth noting that prior to this, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the movement of enemy drones from the Poltava region toward the Kyiv region.

At 2:26 AM, the Air Forces reported that several groups of enemy strike drones were detected south of Kyiv.

At 2:52 AM, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration announced the cancellation of the air alert in the region.

As previously reported, on the evening of December 26, the launch of drones by Russian occupiers toward Ukraine was recorded during another airstrike. An air alert was declared in several regions.

Shortly after midnight on December 27, the military reported new groups of enemy drones entering the country's airspace from the northern direction.
