Air raid alerts were issued in Kyiv due to Russian drones, but the warning has now been lifted.

On the night of January 2, 2025, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv. The cause was a drone flying towards the capital.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The alarm sounded in the capital at 03:36. Initially, there was no official information regarding the cause, but a few minutes later, the military informed Ukrainians.

"Attention! City of Kyiv! Enemy strike drone heading your way from the northeast," the PS message stated at 03:38.

The air raid alert in Kyiv has been lifted; however, the threat continues in several other regions.

As of 03:43, the air raid alert map looks as follows. As can be seen, the following regions are still marked in red: Kyiv region, Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia.

Recall that on the night of January 1, Russia also attacked Kyiv with drones. According to the head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, at least four "Shaheds" targeted the capital.

As a result of the attack, two people were killed and seven were injured, including two pregnant women.
