In the night of January 27, an air alert was declared in Kyiv and most regions of Ukraine. The reason for this was the threat of ballistic missiles.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the Telegram of the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко.
The alarm signal sounded in Kyiv at 00:09 and began to spread to other regions.
"An air alert has been declared in the capital. There is a threat of ballistic missile use. Residents of Kyiv, please head to shelters," the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration specified.
The air alert in Kyiv has been lifted.
"The threat of ballistic weapon use has been lifted. However, there remains a threat of strikes by enemy UAVs in the following regions: Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, and Ternopil," the message from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states.
As of 00:18, the air alert signal continues in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Recall that yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that over the week, Russians carried out hundreds of attacks on Ukraine. For this, the enemy used about 1,250 aerial bombs, more than 759 strike UAVs, and over 20 missiles of various types.
