On the night of January 19, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Air defense systems are operational against drones in the capital.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine, citing a Telegram message from Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
"Air defense forces are active in the capital against enemy UAVs. Please stay in shelters," the message stated at 00:17.
Earlier, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachенко, also reported that an air raid alert had been declared in the capital due to the threat of UAV deployment. He urged residents of Kyiv to remain in safe locations until the all-clear is given.
As of 00:24, the air raid alert is ongoing in Kyiv (including the city itself), as well as in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and parts of Cherkasy regions.
We remind you that last night, Russian forces launched four missiles and 39 drones at Ukraine.
As of 8 a.m., air defense forces had destroyed two missiles in the Kyiv region and 24 UAVs. An additional 14 enemy strike drones were lost locally.
