In the evening of January 18, there was at least one explosion in Kharkiv. The enemy launched a ballistic strike.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing Telegram from the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, and the channel of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The sound of the explosion in Kharkiv was heard around 18:02. Synegubov also confirmed the information about the shelling.
"The occupiers are striking! Stay in shelters!" he wrote.
Minutes later, the head of the administration clarified that enemy strikes had been recorded in the Kharkiv and Chuhuiv districts. Relevant services have now been dispatched to the locations.
Prior to the explosions, the military warned Ukrainians about the threat of ballistic weapon use from the northeast for the regions where an air alert was declared.
"As a result of the enemy strike in the Vysotsk community of the Kharkiv district, a fire broke out in a two-story building. At this moment, there are no casualties," Synegubov reported.
As of 18:14, alerts are ongoing in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions.
We remind you that this morning the enemy attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles. In the capital, as a result of the attack in the Shevchenkivskyi district, three people were killed, and another three were injured.
Additionally, a production building was partially destroyed, leading to a fire on the third floor, along with a food establishment, a business center, a shopping mall, a store, and 10 vehicles. The enemy also damaged the entrance and exit of the "Lukyanivska" metro station with the strike.
