The GUR showcased their preparations for the enemy's elimination in the Kupiansk direction.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine showcased the training of the special unit "Stugna." The footage depicts operations aimed at clearing out the occupiers in the Kupiansk direction.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

Active combat operations continued in the Kupiansk direction to clear the area of Russian occupiers. The soldiers of the "Stugna" unit, which is part of the "Timur Special Unit" of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, effectively carry out combat tasks.

During the operation that took place in late autumn 2024, the unit successfully cleared a specific area.

The video footage captured by the soldiers' helmet cameras includes scenes from the final briefing before the assault to the actual execution of the assigned task.

The published clips document key stages of preparation: the commander conducts a briefing, and the personnel checks their gear and equipment.

After completing their preparations, the soldiers eliminate the enemy and secure the area.

Fights for Kupiansk

The front line has approached Kupiansk within a distance of two kilometers, and the situation in the vicinity of the city remains extremely tense.

The head of the Kupiansk city military administration, Andrei Besedin, reported in January that Russian troops are constantly conducting assault actions. Over the past day alone, more than 12 attacks were recorded in the direction of Petropavlivka-Holubivka, adjacent to the central part of Kupiansk.

According to him, the enemy attempted to gain control over the main route Svatove-Kupiansk to facilitate further access to the city. At the same time, a difficult situation persisted in the area of Zahryzovo-Lozova-Kruhlyakivka, where the occupiers continued their assaults, trying to break through to the left bank of the Oskil River.
