During an extraordinary session, the secretary of the city council, Vitaliy Morgun, was dismissed from his position. He had effectively become the acting mayor after the city council deputies removed the former mayor, Andrey Horba, from office on October 17.

However, it seems that he did not satisfy everyone either. The new secretary of the Podgorodnoye city council is Mikhail Staroselsky. He will now perform the duties of the city mayor. The voting on this matter in the session hall was conducted by secret ballot.
