In the Dnipropetrovsk region, less than 4% of religious communities have transitioned to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).

In Dnipropetrovsk region, only 25 churches changed their religious affiliation.
В Днепровской области менее 4% религиозных общин перешли в Православную Церковь Украины (ПЦУ).

As of January 2025, less than 4% of religious communities in the region have transitioned to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU). Out of 643 churches and temples, 25 have changed their confessional affiliation, coming under the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. This information was reported by "Vydomo."

618 communities continue to be part of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate) — UOC (MP). This figure is significantly lower than the national average across Ukraine.

It is important to note that these numbers represent only a part of a larger picture of religious transformations occurring in the country. By January 2025, more than 1,800 religious communities across Ukraine have joined the OCU.

Analysis of regional statistics reveals substantial differences in the pace of transition to the OCU. For instance, some regions are experiencing a significantly more active process. In the Khmelnytskyi region, 38 communities have joined the OCU, which accounts for 397 out of 998 communities in the region — almost 40%. The figures are also high in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions, with 29 communities in each (245 out of 659 and 105 out of 461, respectively). In the Vinnytsia region, 25 communities have transitioned (218 out of 943). These regions demonstrate a more pronounced trend towards joining the OCU, unlike the Dnipropetrovsk region.

On the other end of the spectrum are regions with minimal transitions. In the Kharkiv, Ternopil, Transcarpathian regions, and Kyiv, only one community has been recorded as having made the transition.

In the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Mykolaiv regions, no reports of transitions to the OCU were available at the time of publication. These differences may be attributed to various factors, including historical traditions, social structure characteristics, the role of local religious leaders, and the influence of external factors.
