As the New Year holidays approach, students gathered to prepare gifts for the military, reports the correspondent from "Vідомо".

A New Year event titled "From Students to Soldiers" took place on the Victory Embankment in Dnipro. Organized by local youth, the initiative aimed to support Ukrainian defenders by preparing festive gifts for them. Students from the city personally filled warm socks with Christmas treats: sweets, medicines, tea, and coffee.

"We gathered to prepare gifts for our military. Last year, we managed to collect about 1300 gifts, and this year we continue the tradition. This time, we are packing gifts in socks, which we will then deliver to the 128th Brigade 'Wild Field'. Representatives from many educational institutions attended the event," said Elina Kosolapova, a member of the public organization "Students of Dnipro".

According to Lina Bardachenko, chair of the student council at Dnipro State Agrarian and Economic University, the main goal of the event is to bring a bit of celebration and warmth to the military:

"We are packing socks with sweets, tea, and coffee, and also adding medicines collected by our faculty. Many brought non-perishable food items, such as instant noodles. This is an opportunity to delight our defenders and bring them joy during these challenging times."

"In addition to sweets, we are also providing shoe warmers. These are not only essential items but also small gifts that the soldiers can find under the Christmas tree. Such events are very important as they boost the morale of our defenders," shared Maxim Moskalenko, a student at UGHUNT.
