A memorial plaque honoring the fallen Hero of Ukraine has been unveiled in Dnipro. (PHOTO)

Today, a ceremony was held in Dnipro to unveil a memorial plaque honoring the Hero of Ukraine, Pavel Vasilkov. This commemorative plaque has been installed on the wall of Lyceum No. 101, located in Krasnopole. This information was reported by "Vydomo" citing the Dnipro City Council.

Pavel Vasilkov was mobilized for military service on March 28, 2022. He was known on the battlefield by the call sign "Joker."

Pavel served in the 138th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade, where his primary responsibilities included airspace defense and conducting combat operations in challenging conditions. Notably, he participated in battles in the Pokrovsk region of Donetsk Oblast, which at that time was one of the hottest spots of the conflict.

On March 8, 2024, while carrying out another combat mission, Pavel Vasilkov was killed.

He was awarded the commemorative medal "Defender of the Fatherland" and the medal "Honor. Glory. State." Pavel Vasilkov was also posthumously awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.
