In Dnipro, in the Pobeda residential area near the "Sich" yacht club, a significant river pollution incident has been reported again. This time, a large amount of foam has been found in the water, along with a strange film. The contamination is observed near the footbridge located in the Pobeda-5 residential area, where, unfortunately, waste has already been discharged into the water body multiple times. The foam found in the river poses a serious threat to the ecosystem. Its lightweight particles can be mistaken for food by fish, leading to poisoning of animals and disruption of the food chain. Additionally, foam releases toxic substances, such as benzene and formaldehyde, which can adversely affect the health of not only aquatic inhabitants but also people who use the river for recreation or fishing.

It is important to note that such pollution of water bodies is not only an ecological issue but also a social one. Local residents express dissatisfaction and concern about the deteriorating environmental conditions, which impacts their quality of life.

This is far from the first incident where the river suffers from such pollution, yet the perpetrator has not been identified so far.
