A meeting is anticipated between U.S. President Donald Trump, dictator Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. These discussions may take place in the coming days.
This was announced by White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Fox News.
The United States expects President Donald Trump to hold meetings with both Putin and Zelensky shortly.
"We expect these meetings to happen very soon, especially with President Zelensky," she stated.
Levitt also noted that Trump is eager to finalize an agreement between Kyiv and Washington regarding rare earth metals.
She emphasized that Trump anticipates President Zelensky will sign the agreement, viewing it as a necessary step considering the support provided to Ukraine by American taxpayers.
"Without the Americans, Ukraine as a state would no longer exist, and President Trump understands this," she underscored.
It is worth recalling that White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt stated that U.S. President Donald Trump is confident in his ability to reach an agreement with Russia to end the "conflict" in Ukraine, noting that the war could conclude as early as next week. Her comments followed Trump's remarks that President Zelensky "has no cards" and should refrain from negotiating peace initiatives.
Trump did not specify a timeline for ending the war. Levitt also mentioned that National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will be working continuously this weekend on the agreement, and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is involved in discussions regarding the agreement between Ukraine and the U.S. on mineral extraction, particularly concerning a resource agreement.
