Ukraine has successfully returned two children aged 14 and 17 from territories temporarily occupied by Russia. This was achieved as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Telegram from Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"As part of the president's initiative, Bring Kids Back UA, we managed to return two Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories," Yermak stated.

Among those rescued is a 14-year-old girl who was at risk of being placed in a Russian boarding school. Thanks to the efforts of her aunt and older sister, the family was finally able to reunite in Ukraine.

A 17-year-old boy and his family lived under constant shelling for nearly two years. After an explosion near their home, he sustained a concussion, prompting the family to decide to leave. Today, they are all together in safety in a territory controlled by Ukraine.

"I am grateful to the Ukrainian Network for Children's Rights for their professional work and assistance in organizing the rescue mission. We will not stop until every Ukrainian child is safe. Step by step, we are fulfilling the president's task to bring all children home. Without exceptions or conditions," the head of the Office of the President emphasized.

Deportation of Ukrainian Children

As a reminder, according to Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has deported more than 19,500 children from Ukraine. Over a thousand young Ukrainians have managed to return home.

It is worth noting that the deportation of Ukrainian children led to the issuance of an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court in The Hague for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and for Maria Lvova-Belova, the children's rights commissioner in Russia.
