Ukraine will be under high-pressure conditions. What weather can we expect today?

Today, February 26, Ukraine will be under an area of high atmospheric pressure. Therefore, precipitation is not expected, and it will be quite warm during the day.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing "Ukrhydrometcenter".

"On February 26, the weather will remain dry in most regions due to the high atmospheric pressure. Cold air will be retreating to the east, where the coolest weather is expected. In the rest of the territory, the nighttime frost will ease somewhat, more noticeably in the western part of the country," the forecast states.

For this time of year, with mostly clear skies, significant daily temperature fluctuations are typical, so the maximum temperature during the day easily rises above freezing, with an increase expected in the extreme west.

In the eastern regions, as well as in Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk, there will be variable cloudiness with occasional light snow. The temperature during the day will range from -3 to -8°C. In the rest of the territory, there will be some cloud cover with no precipitation; daytime temperatures will be between 0 and 5°C, while in the extreme west of the country, temperatures will reach 5-10°C during the day.

On the roads of the northern, central, and eastern regions, there will be icy patches. The wind will predominantly be from the southeast at 3-8 m/s.
