Трамп заявил, что Украина займет позицию за столом переговоров с Россией для достижения мира и прекращения конфликта.

U.S. President Donald Trump has assured that Ukraine will take part in negotiations with Russia regarding the cessation of war. He also aims to reinstate Russia in the G7.

This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Sky News and CBS News correspondent Jennifer Jacobs on social media X.

According to reports, Trump told journalists that he would like to bring Russia back into the G7 (essentially reverting to the "Group of Eight" format). He stated that it was a mistake to exclude Russia following the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

The U.S. president also noted that new trade tariffs could come into effect in April, including on automobiles.

When asked if Ukraine would have a seat at the negotiation table for ending the war, he replied, "Yes, of course."

Trump also expressed his trust in Putin regarding the war in Ukraine and stated that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's comments about Ukraine's NATO membership being unlikely were correct.

Trump's Negotiations with Putin and Zelensky

Recall that yesterday, February 12, U.S. President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. One of the topics discussed was Russia's war against Ukraine.

After the call, Trump wrote that the Kremlin leader supposedly wants to end the war, just like Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

On the same day, the American leader also spoke with Zelensky.

Later, Trump stated that he had "wonderful negotiations" with Russia and Ukraine. According to him, there is a "good opportunity to end the war."

At the same time, several European and Ukrainian media outlets began to suggest that the direct conversation between Trump and Putin could indicate that the U.S. might negotiate peace in Ukraine without the involvement of Ukraine itself and European countries.

In particular, British Defense Minister John Gili believes that negotiations regarding Ukraine cannot occur without it, and Ukraine's voice should be central to any discussions.

Meanwhile, Zelensky emphasized that no negotiations with Putin can begin without a united stance from Ukraine, Europe, and the U.S.
