In the Tver region (Russia), a drone attack yesterday targeted the "Andreepol" oil pumping station. Nine drones struck the facility.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Astra.

Sources from the Russian publication indicated that the operator communication node and the electrical panel at the oil pumping station were damaged as a result of the UAV strikes.

Russian media recalled the statement from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, claiming that nine drones were allegedly shot down over the Tver region on the night of February 13. However, the defense ministry of the aggressor country did not provide information about any consequences.

"ASTRA found out that all 9 UAVs were not shot down but hit the 'NPS Andreepol' of LLC 'Transneft-Baltika' in the village of Erokhino in the Tver region," the publication states.

In addition to the damage to the electrical panel and operator communication node at the NPS, the Russian publication also reports that there were no casualties.

Drone Strike on the NPS in Tver Region

On the eve, RBK-Ukraine sources informed that the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed the drone attack on the "Andreepol" oil pumping station in the Tver region, which occurred on the evening of February 13. It was also reported that the station had suspended operations.

It is worth noting that the "Andreepol" NPS had already been subjected to drone strikes earlier this winter. Specifically, the facility was attacked by UAVs on the night of January 29.

According to media reports, the attack then resulted in damage to the roof of the communication and operator building, as well as the filtration pump area, and there was a spill of oil products and a fire.

In the Tver region at that time, more than 20 drones also attacked an ammunition depot of the 23rd GRAU arsenal and the adjacent military unit in the village of Oktyabrsky in the Toropets municipal district.

Features of the NPS "Andreepol"

Local media reported that the NPS "Andreepol" of LLC "Transneft-Baltika" is one of the largest production facilities in the Tver region.

It was planned that the station would ensure the completion of construction, commissioning, and oil transportation through the Surgut - Polotsk pipeline.

Currently, the NPS "Andreepol" is considered one of the key points of the Baltic Pipeline System-2. The chief engineer of LLC "Transneft-Baltika," Yevgeny Inzhevatov, stated in 2022 that the station operates to ensure "reliable and safe transportation of oil, and regular modernization and updates allow it to meet the most stringent requirements for pipeline transport facilities."
