The number of casualties from the massive attack on January 3 in Chernihiv has increased. Six people were injured.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, during a telethon.

"As of this morning, six injuries have already been recorded. Five of them are minor, and they received medical assistance on-site. One is in the hospital in moderate condition," he stated.

Chaus also noted that a 72-year-old man died as a result of the attack. According to the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, the man was an educator and a candidate of pedagogical sciences.

Reports indicate that as a result of the triple missile strike on the outskirts of Chernihiv on January 3, Alexey Galenka, an associate professor at the Department of Philological Disciplines and Methods of Teaching at the Chernihiv Regional Institute of Postgraduate Education named after Ushinsky, was killed.

In his Telegram channel, Chaus also reported that there was a drone strike in the Koryukivka district of Chernihiv region at night, damaging windows in four houses.

In the early morning, a drone strike was recorded in the Chernihiv district, resulting in a fire. The Russians destroyed a residential building and an outbuilding.

Triple Strike on Chernihiv

The Russian occupiers carried out a triple strike on Chernihiv on Friday, January 3. It is likely that the enemy used "Iskander-M" missiles.

According to the Regional Military Administration, more than 10 private houses were destroyed and damaged as a result of the shelling.

Reports indicated five injured and one deceased as a result of the triple strike on Chernihiv.
